Indicazioni terapeutiche:
Ipercolesterolemia primaria: «Ezetrol» somministrato con un
inibitore del HMG-CoA reduttasi (statina), e' indicato come terapia
aggiuntiva alla dieta in pazienti con ipercolesterolemia primaria
(eterozigote familiare e non familiare) che non sono controllati
adeguatamente con le statine da sole.
La monoterapia con «Ezetrol» e' indicata come terapia aggiuntiva
alla dieta in pazienti con ipercolesterolemia primaria (familiare
eterozigote e non-familiare) per i quali le statine sono considerate
inappropriate o non sono tollerate;
Ipercolesterolemia familiare omozigote (IF omozigote):
«Ezetrol» somministrato con una statina, e' indicato come terapia
aggiuntiva alla dieta in pazienti con ipercolesterolemia familiare
omozigote. Il paziente puo' essere sottoposto anche ad ulteriori
misure terapeutiche (per esempio, l'aferesi delle LDL);
Sitosterolemia familiare omozigote (Fitosterolemia): «Ezetrol»
e' indicato come terapia aggiuntiva alla dieta in pazienti con
sitosterolemia familiare omozigote.
Gli studi per dimostrare l'efficacia di «Ezetrol» nella
prevenzione delle complicazioni dell'arterosclerosi non sono stati
ancora completati.
